From world renowned Clayvin Vineyard in the Southern Valleys (Marlborough), comes this certified organic Syrah that is full of texture and concentration.
Established in 1991, Clayvin Vineyard is a north facing hillside vineyard, the vineyard planting is high density. This density creates natural competition among the vines, reducing vigour, promoting root structure and intensity of flavour. It also means that the vineyard only produces ‘one bottle of Clayvin Syrah per vine’.
The International Wine Challenge (IWC) is accepted as the world’s most rigorous, impartial and influential annual wine competition.
The 2021 Clayvin Syrah was awarded 3 IWC Trophies:
